diary - day 1

the rumbling stops and silence takes over. slowly the birds start chirping again like nothing ever happened but it did. ocean water surrounded us and we decide to make our way to a higher clearing, just to be safe. we finally reach a green overgrown grass

clearing, small, but it will do. after short discussion we decide to split up into groups, Anne maree and Monica go to collect water from the surrounding ocean and milk from the surviving cows, while Kelsey sets up a fire and Emma and i make shelter. we used an old tree that had fallen to drape the two tarpolins that we had over into a tent like shape and fastened the tarpolins onto the tree with a rope and placed the ends onto the ground with some rocks we found. we also used the rocks to fill in gaps that the tapolin hadn't covered. then done, and just big enough to fit us all in, perfect!! then Emma and i set out to find baby ferns for dinner! yes, not the most ideal situation we all thought but i would do.

Ski bunny

on Saturday me, my family, and our friends took the boat over to lake karapero (i don't think that's spelt write) and for the first time in history.......................................i can ski on water (as well as snow)!!!!! i can ski!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i can ski!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i can ski!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i can ski!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i can ski!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i can ski!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i can ski!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i had the strongest feeling of accomplishment, i did it!!

all tho my shoulder and wrist muscles were kinda sore but o well cos i can skiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh and by the way thank you sooooooooooooo much for the certificates Mr woody, your the best teacher !!!!!!!!!!!
